Release Notes - Version 2.0.0
Breaking Change
To ensure the best possible experience and achieve seamless integration with the Siemens platform, we're introducing a necessary breaking change. While this means a small update for your current setup, it sets the foundation for better, more reliable performance going forward.
Datapoint Definition Name Update
Root Cause: The connector now uses the Common Configurator Tag name instead of the column name in the meta message datapoint definitions. This change ensures compliance with common payload standards, where each metadata datapoint definition name must be unique within every connection.

Impact: If connector tags are used in Siemens IIH Essentials or any application that depends on datapoint definition names in the connector meta message, existing configurations may not be working after installing this update.
Affected Applications:
- Siemens IIH Essentials.
- Any third-party applications that depend on datapoint definition names in the connector meta message.
- Note: The connector itself remains unaffected.
Note: If tag names and column names are configured identically, so no changes may be required for your specific setup.
Migration Required: Update affected application configurations to use the new tag names. For more details on how to migrate you can find here an example of a migration steps related to IIH Essentials's configuration.
Further Connector Improvements:
Enhanced Connection Handling: Connector sessions now feature automatic timeout functionality and will close gracefully after periods of inactivity, improving resource management and system performance.
Oracle Connector: Removed the check of the table name space to give the user more flexibility.
