FAQ
Q: Do I always have to define one sorting column per table?
A: Yes, you must always define exactly one sorting column, otherwise no data will be read from this table and no data can be entered.
Q: Is it possible to display the connection ids or datapoint ids in the Common Configurator?
A: No, at the moment it is not possible to display data in the Common Configurator during runtime.
Q: Is it possible to sort by multiple columns?
A: No, currently it is only possible to sort by exactly one column.
Q: Must a complete table always be configured for reading?
A: No, not all columns of a table have to be configured if they are not to be read out. As a minimum requirement only the sorting column must be defined to be able to start a read operation.
Q: Is it possible to read from columns that are not defined as "not null"?
A: Yes, it is possible to read from columns which are not defined as "not null", but it is not possible to guarantee a correct function if there is no value in the column.
Q: After upgrading a Version the app does not start and is using high amounts of memory.
A: This could happen because the configuration of the earlier version is not applicable to the current Version anymore. Please perform a reinstall.
Q: The Browsing API does not show my Datapoints correctly.
A: This can happen if you either did not set your Databus user correctly or the MQTT User does not have the correct rights to the needed database.
Q: I am facing network/connection issues within the connector. What could be the reason?
A: If you experience connection drops or the connector cannot establish a network link, please check your network infrastructure and firewall configurations. Network issues are frequently related to the firewall or port settings of either the Industrial Edge Device itself or the underlying virtualization environment (e.g., VMware) hosting the device. Ensure that all required database and application ports are fully whitelisted and open across your virtual switch and firewall rules.
